Hit the road to Sedona
-Boyton Canyon
-Birthing Cave Trail
-UFO Tour
Now that you’ve all arrived, it’s time to hit the road! Today, you’ll drive up to Sedona and check into your hotel.
After getting settled and enjoying some lunch, lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails! Not far from your hotel will be the Boyton Canyon and the (aptly named for this trip) Birthing Cave Trail.
Just off the ultra-popular Sedona trails is this secluded, quiet hike that brings you to an amazing hidden cave, with stunning vista views of Sedona, making you feel more connected to the sacred ground here.
Sedona has long been associated with supernatural happenings and unexplained events—and tonight, your extraterrestrial-themed tour will explore the supposed UFO sightings and interstellar contact that residents have reported in the past.
On this tour, you will travel to the Galactivation Station Destination, in other words, where you'll do the UFO Tour. That may vary depending on where known UFO activity is at that time.
Your guide will pass out PSV-7 military issue, generation 3 night vision goggles which magnify the sky up to 50,000 times a human's normal eyesight. You will be shown what to expect and how to properly use the goggles. Using Starfinder software and satellite tracker this will help you orient yourselves to the skydome above.
This tour is typically a CE5 experience, Close Encounter of the 5th Kind.
A Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind is a UFO event that involves communication between aliens and humans. As the guide meditates . . . UFOS starts to appear.
There are many reasons Sedona is one of the hottest hot spots in the world for UFO activity and this will experience to remember.
*Lodging (2nt): Best Western Plus Arroyo Roble Hotel & Creekside Villas
July 18:
Sedona Wineries
Today you’ll taste the best of Sedona!
Your winery tour will include 3 to 4 of the best local wineries.
You will receive discounts on tastings and bottles of wine, at some of the wineries. You may bring your own alcoholic (or nonalcoholic) beverages with you on the bus.
At one of the wineries we will have a picnic, outside next to the grape vines or inside. The picnic is served on linens, it includes your own personal charcuterie tray. This tray includes French bread, gourmet cheeses, hard salami, olive oil with balsamic vinegar, grapes, nuts and chocolates, for each individual person on the tour.
At one of the award winning wineries we will be touring the production facility and barrel room. There we will discuss the wine making process and what it takes to make a cluster of grapes into an award winning bottle of wine.
This evening, explore Sedona’s downtown and enjoy reminiscing over the days experiences.
July 19:
Under Canvas
After breakfast, you’ll check out of your hotel and drive north, to start your glamping experience in the desert at Under Canvas Grand Canyon.
(Check in is at 3pm, so you may want to take some time to explore Williams, AZ, Flagstaff… or even a sneak peak at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon!)
Set upon 160-acres of secluded piñon and juniper forest, Under Canvas Grand Canyon is located just 25 minutes from the South Rim entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. Recognized in ‘Top 15 Resorts in the US – Southwest’ by Condé Nast Traveler, Under Canvas Grand Canyon offers upscale accommodations near one of the Seven Wonders of the world. July 21:
Colorado River Float
Today you’ll explore the Grand Canyon by air, river, jeep and by foot!
The Grand Canyon, spans 1,900 square miles, and contains more than 275 miles of the powerful Colorado River—the canyon’s creator. Explore the canyon and its river with an amazing adventure that combines sightseeing via air, water, and land.
The airplane – air-conditioned for your comfort – boasts large windows for the best viewing experience. A one-hour flight provides spectacular views of the canyon’s Eastern Rim, which includes the Colorado River as well as Lake Powell, a four hundred foot deep man-made lake.
Upon arriving in Page, you will be given a boxed breakfast. Next, you will take a seat in an awaiting 4-wheel drive vehicle for a 15 minute drive to Antelope Slot Canyon.
From here, you will venture off for a ¼ mile guided tour on foot through Antelope Slot Canyon. Hosted by a Native American guide, the tour winds through the stunning canyon, named for the herds of pronghorn antelope that once roamed throughout.
Transfer from land to river, embarking on a smooth water rafting trip along the Colorado River as you follow the route of Major John Wesley Powell through Glen Canyon. Enjoy your “bistro lunch” while traveling 15 miles downstream in a motorized raft.
Additionally, you will enjoy a stop to view the canyon’s ancient rock writings, also known as petroglyphs. The rafting tour ends at historic Lee’s Ferry. You’ll board a coach and travel back to the Grand Canyon Airport where you started the tour.
