With no riding, this special program is focused on taking your time and allowing the elephants to enjoy each moment of their freedom, scratching, rubbing, throwing dirt ... so be patient, enjoy the view and take lots of pictures.
Chiang Rai
Finally, travel to Chiang Rai to experience some of the artistic flare that has become a bucket list item for many.
Wat Rong Khun, "The White Temple".
A contemporary, unconventional, privately owned, art exhibit in the style of a Buddhist Temple
The white exterior is covered with tiny mirrors that makes the entire temple shimmer right in front you. At the main building at the white temple, the ubosot, is reached by crossing a bridge over a small lake. In front of the bridge are hundreds of outreaching hands that symbolize unrestrained desire. The bridge proclaims that the way to happiness is by foregoing temptation, greed, and desire.
Wat Hyuaplakung, "The Red Temple"
The temple is nine floors in pagoda style, with wooden Buddha's sculptures on each level
Baan Dam, "The Black House"
A private collection of art. He created his work with a black theme which refers to death. This collection is housed in an all teakwood building.
Wat Rong Sauten, "The Blue Chapel"
Some of the style may look like "The Black House" and "The White Temple" as this temple was built by Mr. Phuttha Kabkaew ( a Local artist )

What ELSE Do I Need To Know?
LOVE-Do good where you go
Elephant Nature Park
Elephant Nature Park is an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center in Northern Thailand where you can volunteer and visit to help. We have been involved in dozens of rescues which have created our thriving elephant herd. The park provides a natural environment for elephants, dogs, cats, buffaloes and many other animals under our care.
Volunteers and visitors contribute to the healing while learning about their lives past and present. Arrange a visit to all our projects in Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Pamper a Pachyderm
An elephant camp neighboring our park has decided to try out our concept of care. So now, four lucky female elephants have dumped their trekking seats and their mahouts hooks have been cast aside. Only small groups each day enjoy the honor of observing their freedom and happiness; they walk, they scratch, they swim, they eat, they dust bathe... all at their own pace... May this be the start of a new trend that catches on in the Mae Taeng valley and elsewhere.
Save Elephant Foundation
Is my donation tax deductible?
No. But, it can be!
The Save Elephant Foundation is a Thai non–profit organization. So, that means that it's not tax deductible for US citizens.
We are giving you a direct link to this organization on our website because it offers a variety of options for donating and because it was created by the Elephant Nature Park, it is more closely connected.
Activity Info
FAH LANNA SPA
This package includes the Signature Exotic Experience. Services can be modified at your request.
Inspired by nature and with our traditional Lanna history and culture as a guiding principal, we designed the spa to be a welcoming place for all people to enjoy. We care about our community and the people in it and we believe that everyone can do something to give back to the community.
On a global level, we have the responsibility to care about the earth. We care about the environment and are fortunate that all water in our ponds and used around the garden comes from our own well. We reuse and recycle materials such as turning the herbs from the herbal balls into compost for our plants and using the strings from the herbal balls as wicks for our garden torches. The aluminum containers from the tea lights we use in the oil burners are collected and then we bring them to be reused and turned into prosthetic legs for the disabled. We make our own herbal drinks and use as much of the materials as possible. After we made our refreshing Roselle Herbal Tea, we use the flowers to cook Roselle jam, which we serve at our Café.
On a regional level, we support our wider community by supporting charitable organizations that provide education to children of migrant workers and refugees, that bring healthcare into internally displaced people in the border regions and that provide relief and assistance in underprivileged communities.
At a local level, we care about our community and all people in it. We created a number of initiatives to support our staff, such as financial support for the education of our staff children, providing emergency assistance loans, healthcare, social security, maternity leave, end of year bonuses, skill development training etc.
