Today is a self guided day. We recommend visiting the beach club and/or the Zona Romantica neighborhood.

Enjoy the beach club

Enjoy some fun in the sun at Mantamar Beach Club Bar & Sushi, sitting on the most famous gay beach in Puerto Vallarta: Los Muertos. Take a dive into the infinity pool, get some much needed rest at one of the oceanfront cabanas and lounge beds, and delight your palate with some of the gourmet dishes prepared by their chef. Mantamar Beach Club Bar & Sushi is where the entire gay community in Puerto Vallarta wants to be.

Explore the Zona Romantica Neighborhood

Zona Romántica is a trendy area filled with lively expat and LGBT bars, plus restaurants serving global fare. Quaint courtyard cafes and contemporary art galleries sit alongside boutique hotels on cobblestone streets. The popular Los Muertos Beach draws locals and visitors to its broad, curved pier, which lights up at night.

You will enjoy several locations for the day:

Playa la Piramide (Colimilla)

One of the many amazing beaches and coves along the coastline south of Puerto Vallarta. You will stop for for some snorkeling, where you’ll admire the abundant marine life of the area or maybe you’ll prefer to stay on board and enjoy the view while sipping on a refreshing drink served by the attentive staff.

Yelapa Waterfalls

Yelapa is a charming coastal village south of Puerto Vallarta only accessible by boat.

There are two options to choose from at this stop; either visit Yelapa Falls or Yelapa Beach.

The short hike to the falls takes 10 to 15 minutes. Meander your way through the quaint village of Yelapa on your way to visit the scenic destination of Yelapa Falls. You can jump into the pool and cool off below the cascading water of the falls.

Yelapa Beach

Yelapa Beach is a beautiful stretch of white sand, lined with local restaurants. For those not wanting to do the short hike to Yelapa Falls, this is a great option to relax and soak up the sun. You also have the choice to remain on the boat and continue to enjoy our all inclusive service and premium open bar.

Bay of Banderas

Banderas Bay (Bahia de Banderas) is the second largest bay in the world and home to abundant sea life. It is an important breeding and birthing ground for humpback whales every year. August 24:
Self-Guided Day

Today is a self guided day. We recommend visiting El Centro. Or we could arrange any of the add-on tours listed below under ‘add-on tours’

Visit El Centro

This is Puerto Vallarta’s downtown colonia, located just north of the Zona Romantica.

The top thing to do in Centro is definitely strolling the Malecon. In addition to the fantastic ocean views it provides, it’s basically an open-air art museum.

The Malecon is home to dozens of unique art sculptures, such as the Boy on the Seahorse and Triton and Siren. It’s a fun place to simply wander, stopping here and there to snap photos.

The Malecon isn’t the only place with art in Centro. In fact, this neighborhood is somewhat of an art lovers’ paradise.

There are several excellent galleries to peruse in Centro. This is also a great place to find some of the best street art in Puerto Vallarta.

F.A.Q.

WHAT TIME IS THE CHECK IN TO THE HOTEL?

Check in at your hotel will not be until 3pm at the earliest.

  • If you arrive early, or your room is not yet ready for you to check in when you arrive, you may be able to leave your bags with the front desk and they will keep them securely held behind the desk while you go out and eat or explore the city until your room is ready.

IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED?

No, but there are plenty of restaurants inside and within walking distance of the hotels though!

Can I pay by Zelle?

Yes!

We started taking Zelle payments last month and we found this to be a fast and FREE way to pay!
For those who don’t know what Zelle is… it is very much like a wire transfer (but it is not a wire transfer).

Everyone’s bank is different, though, so you may want to call/go in to your local bank and ask to have the maximum amount available to transfer every day.

Example: Some banks only allow $500/day transfer. Other banks will allow $1200/day.

Always be careful when making payments through Zelle to people that you do not know. There is no protection guarantee provided and you cannot reverse the fee.

The Pros for using Zelle:

  • It is FREE (no processing fees)!

  • It is instantaneous (funds will go directly to Zone Travel- so this is the absolute fastest way to make a payment)

The Cons for using Zelle:

  • Every bank is different when it comes to maximum amount available to be transferred every day. So, this may mean that you need to make multiple payments to Zone Travel, multiple days in a row.

  • It does require an app download onto your phone, and you need to set up your account with your bank information.

Can I pay by check?

Yes!

If you would like to avoid the 4%processing fees, you may pay by check.
It is very important that you pay in advance of the deadlines and allow ample time for delivery.

Payments received after the deadline could result in cancelation of your reservation or increased fees.

There are two ways to pay by check:

  • Mail the check

  • Deposit directly at a local branch
