Summit Golf Club
Enjoy a Round of Golf in Panama's First Golf Course
The Summit Golf Course maintains a long history, as it was originally opened in the 1930's and served as a field for residents of U.S. military bases as well as for the workers of the Panama Canal.
The field was built in the Camino de Cruces National Park, which is where the Spanish transported gold in Colonial times. It was only until 1850, when the Panama Canal Railroad Company was built, that the Camino de Cruces was no longer used for transit.
Due to our course's unique history, one of its biggest attractions is that you are able to see the Panama Canal Railroad Company cross, as you play.

Bayano Canyoning
This tour requires guests to be physically healthy and have an adventurous spirit.
This full day tour starts with hotel pick-up at 7:00 am.
Bayano Lake was created from Bayano River and its feeders after the construction of a dam and hydroelectric plant that provides Panama City and other areas with electricity today. The lake is divided into three zones interconnected by a total of 135 square miles (350 square kilometers). 80% of the lake shore is within the region of Madungandí, populated by indigenous Kuna, Embera and Wounaan, Amerindian people.
Bayano Lake is a jewel of Panama, with a spectacular environment that is home to hundreds of birds and other animal species, some of them very rare. Chief among its many splendors, is found in the caves of Lake Bayano in Panama.
The caves were formed over many centuries by an underground river that still flows today, the erosion of limestone, and a combination of several factors as wind and floods. The path inside the cave lasts about four hours, with mostly easy parts. However some parts are moderately difficult, requiring more physical effort. The terrain includes river crossings, large rocks, slippery ground etc.
There are areas where light penetrates to areas where we need to use lamps. There will be deep waters within the caves, so the swimming is necessary.
Upon reaching the caves, ready to start this beautiful and impressive route over a canyon full of passages and huge caverns where you will find a variety of small animals that inhabit this ecosystem without sunlight; crystalline lagoons; huge limestone rock formations, formed through the centuries until it ended in a lagoon where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in small crystalline waters.

Why Panama got rid of the diabolical diablos rojos
Diablos Rojos were colorful former US school buses, which were once seen all over the streets of Panama. Once the principal mode of local transport, costing a measly 25c for a one way fare, they were taken off the streets after a lack of maintenance, horrific traffic accidents, and security concerns became too much to handle.
In 2010 a new government regulated public bus system, Metro Bus was introduced. With modern air-conditioning and a Metro Card system, the new and improved transportation is far more safe and comfortable. The old Diablos Rojos can still be seen here and there, but it's advised you catch the Metro Bus to ensure your own safety.
Transport crime in Panama
Bus stations tend to be high crime areas, but you should also be aware that Tocumen International Airport in Panama city is the only airport in Panama that maintains international airport security measures. Local domestic air carriers have low safety and security standards, and are best avoided.
For your own safety, only use registered taxis, and where possible call a taxi rather than hail one off the street. Do not share taxis with strangers, and always sit in the back seat.
Drug trafficking
Be aware of the increase in gang violence in Panama. Drug trafficking throughout Panama is fuelling an increase in youth gangs, which are more often than not directly related to drugs in some manner.
Carry identification
Many Latin Americans are trying to emigrate to Panama, so you'll notice policeman sometimes stop travelers and ask them for their ID. You don't have to carry your passport, but to avoid problems you should carry a photocopy of the photo page of your passport, and the page where your entry date is stamped.
Panama law also requires that you carry identification documentation at all times.
LGBTQ+ safety
Although homosexual acts are not illegal, discretion is highly recommended, since homosexuality is not socially acceptable in all areas.
Photography isn't always appreciated
It's illegal to photograph official buildings in Panama. You should check with local authorities before taking photos. Taking photographs, particularly of children and women, may be met with suspicion and violence. Permission from an adult should be obtained before taking photographs of, or talking to, children.
WHAT TIME IS THE CHECK IN TO THE ACCOMMODATIONS?
Check in at your accommodations will not be until 3pm.

Are meals INCLUDED?
Breakfast is included daily.
2 lunches are included (additional lunches may be included in the add-on excursions).

Can I pay by Zelle?
Yes!
We started taking Zelle payments last month and we found this to be a fast and FREE way to pay!
For those who don’t know what Zelle is… it is very much like a wire transfer (but it is not a wire transfer).
Everyone’s bank is different, though, so you may want to call/go in to your local bank and ask to have the maximum amount available to transfer every day.
Example: Some banks only allow $500/day transfer. Other banks will allow $1200/day.
Always be careful when making payments through Zelle to people that you do not know. There is no protection guarantee provided and you cannot reverse the fee.
The Pros for using Zelle:
It is FREE (no processing fees)!
It is instantaneous (funds will go directly to Zone Travel- so this is the absolute fastest way to make a payment)
The Cons for using Zelle:
Every bank is different when it comes to maximum amount available to be transferred every day. So, this may mean that you need to make multiple payments to Zone Travel, multiple days in a row.
It does require an app download onto your phone, and you need to set up your account with your bank information.
Can I pay by check?
Yes!
If you would like to avoid the 4%processing fees, you may pay by check.
It is very important that you pay in advance of the deadlines and allow ample time for delivery.
Payments received after the deadline could result in cancelation of your reservation or increased fees.
There are two ways to pay by check:
Mail the check
Deposit directly at a local branch
