Explore Venice
Historical pieces of evidence suggest that refugees founded Venice. When Germanic tribes ravaged northern Italy in the 5th century, many mainlanders escaped to this difficult-to-access area on the Adriatic Sea.
Over the centuries, the refugee community grew into the most powerful trading port in the Mediterranean. At its peak, Venice counted 3.000 trade ships and 300 navy vessels. After Napoleon's fall, it became part of the Austrian Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia, but after the uprising in 1848, the city reached its independence once again. Shortly after, in 1866, Venice was annexed to the Kingdom of Italy. 1932 saw the opening of the motor and rail bridge between Venice and the mainland, which led this city to come out on top as a tourist destination.
It is hard to navigate around the city, but don't let that put you off, as this is part of Venice's charm. Leave the other tourists at St Mark's square and the Rialto Bridge and explore the maze-like little neighbourhoods instead. The most interesting areas and islands are Cannaregio, San Polo/Santa Croce, Dorsoduro, San Marco and Castello.

The Basilica dei Frari Tour
The Frari Basilica, after St. Mark's Basilica, is one of the most enchanting religious complexes in Venice, and one of Italy's most important Franciscan sites. Over the centuries the Basilica has been endowed with unique and priceless masterpieces by Titian, Bellini, Canova's apprentices and many others, that take the visitor on a journey through the history of art and devotion from the 13th to the 20th century.
The veneration of Mary is a typical trait of Franciscan spirituality.
It is for this reason that the Basilica's three most beautiful paintings are dedicated to her.
The biggest is the altarpiece of the Assumption of the Virgin, painted by Titian, and defined by Canova as the most beautiful picture in the world.

The Cancel Anytime Plan gives you the extra flexibility of knowing you can cancel your trip for almost any unforeseen reason that the Classic plan does not already cover at 100% and receive 80% of your non-refundable trip costs back. It includes benefits like trip cancellation protection, primary emergency medical benefits, 24-hour travel assistance, and more. This plan also has SmartBenefitsSM that can pay you proactively and simplify your claims process with no receipts required. Under certain conditions, covered reasons for some benefits of this plan include epidemic or pandemic-related illness, individually-ordered quarantine, and denied boarding.
Please note: This plan must be purchased within 14 days of your initial trip deposit and must cover the full non-refundable trip cost ($10,000 maximum). You could also be eligible for pre-existing condition exclusion waiver if all requirements are met (please refer to plan documents for details).
Important information about this plan: Plan charge includes costs of insurance benefits and assistance services. If you have a pre-existing medical condition, your plan excludes losses due to that condition unless you qualify for a waiver under the terms of your plan. Dining onboard a celebrity cruise ship:
Celebrity Select Dining Early and Late allows you to enjoy dinner at the same table with the same waiter every evening. AquaClass® guests are assigned Blu and guests of The Retreat are assigned Luminae as their exclusive Main Restaurants.
COMPLIMENTARY MAIN DINING ON EDGE SERIES
Celebrity Edge® Series offers not one but FOUR complimentary main restaurants—Normandie, Tuscan, Cosmopolitan, and Cyprus. Every restaurant features the same mouthwatering menu that changes nightly, plus each one offers its own ambience, along with a selection of exclusive, regionally inspired dishes and drinks.
Celebrity Select Dining Early and Late on Edge Series
We may have reinvented the main restaurant experience, but we haven’t changed the way you plan your dining in our main restaurants. You can choose Celebrity Select Early or Late seating for your dining times, which allows you to enjoy dinner at the same table with the same waiter every evening. You’ll be assigned one of the four main dining restaurants while having the option to dine in the other three upon request.
You’ll receive notice in your stateroom on embarkation day for confirmation of your restaurant, table number, and waiter.
Select Dining Anytime on Celebrity Edge Series
On Celebrity Edge Series, we offer Celebrity Select Dining Anytime. Select your dining time in any of the four restaurants and enjoy a change of scenery. There’s nothing traditional about Celebrity. With Celebrity Select Dining the choice of how you plan your evening meals is up to you.
Once you’ve booked your cruise you can log onto your Pre-Cruise Planner to reserve a restaurant and dining time prior to sailing.
What should I pack?
You should dress for a cruise the same way you would for any stylish land-based resort.
Casual sportswear, including shorts, lightweight pants and jogging suits, is the order of the day both at sea and ashore in hotter climates.
We recommend you bring a sweater, a jacket or an all-weather coat for cool evenings, and for shore excursions, depending on your destination. Due to unpredictable weather, don't forget a hat or visor and a collapsible umbrella. Please be sure to bring proper clothing for visits to religious sites. You'll also want low-heeled, rubber soled shoes for strolling on deck, as well as comfortable walking shoes or sandals to wear.
There are two designations for dress codes: Smart Casual and Formal.
Smart Casual
Guest attire should be in keeping with what they would wear to a nice restaurant at home.
Skirts/dresses, slacks, and sweaters for ladies
Pants and open-neck shirts for men
Inappropriate dinner wear such as pool or beach attire, shorts, ball caps and casual jeans (with fraying and/or holes) are not permitted in the dining rooms. Shoes must be worn.
Formal
When formal nights are held, please observe the dress code in the Traditional Dining and Anytime Dining venues for the enjoyment of all our guests.
Evening gowns and cocktail dresses for women
Tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits with a tie for men

When is the deadline to sign up?
We recommend booking as soon as possible.
Prices and availability are always subject to change and are never guaranteed until completed through the booking process.
Can I pay by Zelle?
Yes!
Please use our email address: christian@zone-travel.com
(payments will not go through when using our phone number)
We started taking Zelle payments last month and we found this to be a fast and FREE way to pay!
For those who don’t know what Zelle is… it is very much like a wire transfer (but it is not a wire transfer).
Everyone’s bank is different, though, so you may want to call/go in to your local bank and ask to have the maximum amount available to transfer every day.
Example: Some banks only allow $500/day transfer. Other banks will allow $1200/day.
Always be careful when making payments through Zelle to people that you do not know. There is no protection guarantee provided and you cannot reverse the fee.
The Pros for using Zelle:
It is FREE (no processing fees)!
It is instantaneous (funds will go directly to Zone Travel- so this is the absolute fastest way to make a payment)
The Cons for using Zelle:
Every bank is different when it comes to maximum amount available to be transferred every day. So, this may mean that you need to make multiple payments to Zone Travel, multiple days in a row.
It does require an app download onto your phone, and you need to set up your account with your bank information.
Can I pay by check?
Yes!
If you would like to avoid the 4%processing fees, you may pay by check.
It is very important that you pay in advance of the deadlines and allow ample time for delivery.
You can make checks payable to “Zone Travel”
Please mail your checks (allowing 3-5 business days for delivery - PRIOR to deadline) to:
Zone Travel
PO Box 12052
Columbus, OH 43212
Payments received after the deadline could result in cancelation of your reservation or increased fees.
